Sturgeon Project
The Grand Rapids Chapter of the Michigan Steelheaders with the cooperation of Michigan DNR placed a Lake Sturgeon at Stoney Creek School. Lake sturgeons are listed as a threatened species in Michigan. Please note, it is illegal to hold in captivity any wildlife without the proper permits from the appropiate government agencies. After 4 years of planning and obtaining the necessary permits, this Lake Sturgeon will be at the school on a temporary basis for about 2 weeks.
